AIHubMix Supports JanitorAI Roleplay Chat, with Zero Data Retention on by Default

AIHubMix supports roleplay chat. Connect it to JanitorAI as a proxy, pick a free model, and your characters reply through AIHubMix. Every AIHubMix account also has Zero Data Retention (ZDR) turned on by default, so we don't log, store, or keep your messages, your character prompts, or the model's replies.

The short version:

  • Roleplay chat: AIHubMix connects to JanitorAI as a proxy. Dozens of free models are available, and our first pick for roleplay chat is xiaomi-mimo-v2.6-pro-free.
  • Zero Data Retention: on for every account by default. The text of your chats isn't logged or stored on AIHubMix, and there's nothing to switch on.
  • What we do keep: usage data such as the model you called, when, and how many tokens, which we need for your usage history and billing.
  • Your part: keep your API key to yourself.

Zero Data Retention, on by default

Our ZDR Terms are short and direct:

"ZDR is enabled by default for all accounts."

And under ZDR, "we do not log, store, or retain any input text ('Prompts') or generated responses ('Outputs')" that pass through our API.

In a JanitorAI chat, the prompt is everything JanitorAI sends for a turn: the character definition, the chat history, and your new message. The output is the character's reply. AIHubMix forwards both and keeps neither. You don't need to change a setting or ask for it; a new account starts this way.

Here is what that looks like request by request:

Data Kept? Used for
Your messages and the character prompt No —
The character's replies No —
IP address, model name, timestamp, tokens Yes Running the gateway
Request time, model, tokens, status, fees Yes Usage history and billing

The usage records in the last two rows hold numbers and labels, not text. Our Privacy Policy puts it this way: "API call records do not include the content of your prompts or model outputs." That data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States, and we don't sell your personal data.

When content can be kept

The ZDR Terms point to a few limited exceptions, listed in the Privacy Policy. Each one starts with something you choose or something you'd be told about:

  • You ask for debugging help. If you contact support and agree to debugging mode, request data from that mode is "used solely for troubleshooting purposes" and deleted or anonymized when it's no longer needed.
  • A model provider sends a policy notice. If a provider flags a request, we may email you, and that email can include the limited information needed to explain why.
  • You opt out of ZDR. You can leave ZDR at any time by emailing feedback@aihubmix.com. Accounts that opt out may be offered discounts or usage credits. Their prompts and outputs may then be stored in anonymized or de-identified form and, in the words of the ZDR Terms, "used solely to train our models, improve service performance, or support commercial operations." If you never send that email, ZDR stays on.

What ZDR covers

ZDR covers AIHubMix's part of the trip. A JanitorAI chat passes through two other places, and each has its own policy:

  1. JanitorAI saves your chats so you can reopen them. That's JanitorAI's storage, under JanitorAI's policies.
  2. The model provider (Xiaomi for MiMo, for example) runs the model. Our ZDR Terms note that providers "may maintain distinct data retention policies", and we suggest you "review the privacy and data retention terms of each individual model vendor" before you settle on a model.

Keep your API key to yourself

ZDR protects your chats on our side. Your API key is the part you protect.

An AIHubMix account "is for your personal use only and may not be transferred, sold, gifted, rented, or lent to others," as §6.1 of our Terms of Service puts it. Every request made with your key counts as your account, and anyone holding the key can spend your daily quota.

  • Paste the key only into your own JanitorAI proxy configuration, never into someone else's shared proxy.
  • Crop or blur the key out of screenshots before you post them in Discord, and don't send it in a DM.
  • Our support team doesn't need your key either. Leave it out of every support message.
  • If a key may have leaked, delete it on the API key page, create a new one, and paste the new key into JanitorAI.

Checklist

  • ZDR is already on; there's nothing to set up.
  • Use your own key in your own JanitorAI proxy configuration.
  • Keep the key out of screenshots and DMs.
  • One AIHubMix account per person.
  • Before you settle on a model, read its provider's privacy and data retention terms.
  • Use AIHubMix in line with our Terms of Service and each model provider's usage policy.

FAQ

Does AIHubMix support roleplay chat?
Yes. Connect AIHubMix to JanitorAI through the Proxy option, choose a free model, and chat. Our first pick for roleplay chat is xiaomi-mimo-v2.6-pro-free.

What is Zero Data Retention (ZDR)?
It means AIHubMix does not log, store, or retain the prompts you send or the replies the model generates. ZDR is on by default for every account.

Do I need to turn ZDR on?
No. It's on from the start. It only turns off if you email feedback@aihubmix.com to opt out.

Does AIHubMix store my JanitorAI chats?
No. Under ZDR, your messages, character prompts, and replies aren't stored on AIHubMix. JanitorAI keeps your chat history on its side so you can reopen your chats.

What does AIHubMix keep about each request?
Usage data: your IP address, the model name, the request time, token usage, response status, and fees. It's used to run the gateway, show your usage history, and bill your account, and it contains no chat text.

Do model providers keep my data?
That depends on the provider. Each one may have its own retention policy, so read the privacy and data retention terms of the model you use.

Can I share my API key with a friend?
No. An AIHubMix account is for one person, and a shared key works as a shared account. If a key has leaked, delete it and create a new one.
